# Portfolio Overview

> Understanding your holdings and managing your trading portfolio

## Portfolio Management

Your Portfolios page shows every market where you currently hold shares. Access it via **"Portfolios"** in the sidebar or the **Portfolio** tab on the mobile bottom bar.

## Viewing Your Portfolio

### Accessing Portfolios

1. Click **"Portfolios"** in the sidebar
2. Each row represents one market where you hold shares
3. Click any row to **expand** it and see your individual holdings within that market

### Expanded View

Expanding a row shows:

* Your YES and/or NO holdings for each outcome
* Average entry price
* Current market price
* Unrealised profit/loss
* A link icon to open the full market detail page

## Portfolio Filters

Use the status filter to focus on what matters:

| Filter        | Description                                   |
| ------------- | --------------------------------------------- |
| **All**       | Every market where you've ever traded         |
| **Open**      | Markets still accepting trades                |
| **Closed**    | Markets that have stopped trading             |
| **Completed** | Markets where the outcome has been determined |
| **Settled**   | Markets where payouts have been processed     |

## Understanding Your Holdings

### YES Shares

You profit if the event happens. Current price × number of shares = current position value.

### NO Shares

You profit if the event doesn't happen. Current price × number of shares = current position value.

### Current Price

The live market price for one share, updated in real time as trades execute.

### Total Value

Current price × number of shares. Updates continuously as prices change.

## Managing Positions

### View Market Details

Click the external link icon on any portfolio row to navigate directly to the full market detail page — where you can see the price chart, order book, and place new orders.

### Sell Shares

1. From the market detail page, scroll to **"Your Holdings"**
2. Click **"Sell"** next to the position you want to exit
3. Enter the quantity to sell
4. Set a price or use the current market price
5. Confirm the sell order

### Add to a Position

1. Navigate to the market detail page
2. Place a new buy order on the same side (YES or NO)
3. Your average entry price is recalculated automatically

### Close a Position

1. Sell all your shares in a position
2. Lock in profit or loss
3. The position disappears from your active portfolio
4. Funds return to your available balance

## Portfolio Performance

* **Total Value**: Sum of all your current position values
* **Unrealised P/L**: Your gain or loss if you closed everything now

Performance becomes realised when you sell shares or a market settles and pays out.

## Diversification

  A well-diversified portfolio reduces the impact of any single losing position. Trade across different categories (Sports, Politics, Finance), mix short- and long-term markets, and vary position sizes based on conviction.
