Account Setup and Profile Management

Learn how to configure your Predicta account settings and manage your profile.

Viewing Your Profile

  1. Click on your profile icon (usually in the top right)
  2. Select “Profile” from the dropdown
  3. View your account information:
    • Account balance
    • Currency preference
    • Member since date
    • Phone number (if added)
    • Location information

Updating Your Profile

  1. Go to your Profile page
  2. Click “Edit Profile”
  3. Update any information you want to change
  4. Click “Save Changes”

Currency Settings

Predicta supports multiple currencies:
  • USD (US Dollars)
  • KES (Kenyan Shillings)
  • TZS (Tanzanian Shillings)
  • PT (Predicta Tokens)
Your default currency is set when you create your account, but you can view balances in multiple currencies using the dual currency display feature.

Understanding Dual Currency Display

The dual currency feature shows your balance in both your account currency and another currency for easy reference. This is helpful when:
  • Trading in markets with different currencies
  • Understanding value across currency boundaries
  • Planning international trades

Account Information

Account Balance

Your account balance shows:
  • Available Balance: Funds ready for trading
  • Suspense Balance: Funds reserved for pending orders
  • Total Balance: Complete account value

Account Status

  • Verified/Unverified: Account verification status
  • Reputation Score: Your trading reputation (starts at 100)
  • Account Type: PLAYER (regular users) or HUB (special accounts)

Security Settings

Password Management

  1. Go to Profile settings
  2. Click “Change Password”
  3. Enter your current password
  4. Enter and confirm your new password
  5. Save changes
Use a strong, unique password for your Predicta account. Never share your password with anyone.

Notification Preferences

Configure how you receive notifications:
  • Email notifications for trades
  • Market updates
  • Account activity alerts
  • Payment confirmations

Account Verification

Some features may require account verification:
  • Higher withdrawal limits
  • Access to certain markets
  • Enhanced security features
Follow the verification process if prompted to unlock these features.
