Funding Your Predicta Account

Before you can trade, you need to fund your account. Predicta offers multiple payment methods to suit your needs.

Overview

Funding Methods

  • Mobile Money (Paystack): For KES currency
  • Cryptocurrency (NowPayments): For USD currency

Minimum Amounts

  • Paystack (KES): Minimum 100 KES
  • NowPayments (USD): Minimum $10 USD

Funding via Mobile Money (Paystack)

Step 1: Open Funding Modal

  1. Click “Fund Account” button
    • Located in the sidebar
    • Or in the top navigation
    • Or click on your balance

Step 2: Select Payment Method

  1. Choose “Mobile Money” (Paystack)
  2. This option is available for KES currency

Step 3: Enter Amount

  1. Enter the amount you want to deposit
  2. Minimum: 100 KES
  3. Maximum: Check payment provider limits
  4. The system will show you the exact amount that will be credited

Step 4: Complete Payment

  1. Click “Continue to Payment”
  2. You’ll be redirected to Paystack payment page
  3. Complete the payment using your mobile money account
  4. The funds will be credited to your account automatically
Paystack payments are usually instant. Your balance will update immediately after successful payment.

Funding via Cryptocurrency (NowPayments)

Step 1: Open Funding Modal

  1. Click “Fund Account” button

Step 2: Select Payment Method

  1. Choose “Crypto” (NowPayments)
  2. This option is available for USD currency

Step 3: Enter Amount

  1. Enter the amount you want to deposit
  2. Minimum: $10 USD
  3. Select USD as your currency
  4. The system will show conversion rates if applicable

Step 4: Complete Payment

  1. Click “Continue to Payment”
  2. You’ll see a cryptocurrency payment widget
  3. Choose your preferred cryptocurrency (USDC recommended)
  4. Complete the payment
  5. Funds are credited once the transaction is confirmed
Cryptocurrency payments may take a few minutes to confirm on the blockchain. Your balance will update once the transaction is confirmed.

Understanding Your Balance

Balance Types

  • Available Balance: Funds you can use for trading immediately
  • Suspense Balance: Funds temporarily reserved for pending orders
  • Total Balance: Your complete account value

Balance Updates

  • Paystack: Usually instant
  • Cryptocurrency: After blockchain confirmation (usually a few minutes)
  • Real-time: Balance updates automatically via real-time subscriptions

Payment History

Viewing Payment History

  1. Go to “Payments” in the sidebar
  2. View all your deposits and transactions
  3. See payment status:
    • Pending: Payment initiated, awaiting completion
    • Completed: Payment successful, funds credited
    • Failed: Payment failed, no funds credited

Payment Details

Each payment shows:
  • Amount deposited
  • Payment method
  • Status
  • Date and time
  • Transaction reference

Troubleshooting

Payment Not Showing

  1. Check payment status in Payment History
  2. Verify payment was completed with provider
  3. Wait a few minutes for processing
  4. Contact support if issue persists

Insufficient Funds Error

If you see an insufficient funds error when trading:
  1. Check your available balance
  2. Fund your account if needed
  3. Remember: Suspense balance is reserved for orders
  4. Only available balance can be used for new trades

Best Practices

  1. Fund Regularly: Keep enough balance for trading
  2. Monitor Balance: Check your balance regularly
  3. Plan Ahead: Fund before you want to trade
  4. Keep Records: Review payment history regularly
