Common questions and answers to help you use Predicta Markets effectively.

Account Questions

Go to Profile → Settings → Change Password. Enter your current password and your new password, then save changes.If you signed up with Google, you may not have a password set. You can add one from your profile settings.
No, one account per person. Multiple accounts may be subject to closure. Contact support if you need help with account access.
Predicta uses PT (Predicta Tokens) internally. You can set a display currency (USD, KES, TZS, etc.) to view your balance in a familiar currency. Hover over any balance to see its USD equivalent.
Go to your Profile page, click “Edit Profile”, make your changes, and save. You can update your name, phone number, date of birth, and location.
Yes! On the sign-up page, click “Sign up with Google” to create an account instantly using your Google credentials. No password setup required.

Referral Questions

Every Predicta account has a unique referral code. Share your link (predictamarkets.com/join/{your-code}) with friends. When someone registers using your link, the referral is credited to your account.
Your referral code is on your Profile page. Your referral link is predictamarkets.com/join/{your-code}.
The person you’re referring should click your referral link before registering. Visiting the link stores the referral automatically, so it’s captured when they sign up.
No. Referral codes work in uppercase or lowercase — sharing your code in any format is fine.

Trading Questions

You can buy as few as 1 share. Check individual market details for any minimum order requirements.
Yes, you can cancel any open order from the Orders page. Once an order is filled, it cannot be cancelled. Funds are immediately returned when you cancel.
It depends on market liquidity. Some orders fill instantly if there’s a matching order; others may take time. You can always cancel open orders if needed.
Your order stays in the order book until it fills or you cancel it. You can cancel and place a new order at a different price.
You can cancel any open order and place a new one. Once filled, orders cannot be changed.
Limit orders let you set a specific price — they may not fill immediately. Market orders fill instantly at the current price, guaranteeing execution.

Market Questions

Markets resolve based on their specific resolution criteria. Some resolve automatically using tracked data (e.g. sports scores, stock prices); others are resolved by admins based on the market’s stated criteria.
After a market settles, payouts are processed automatically to winners. This usually happens shortly after the market resolves.
You can create markets, but they must be approved first. Markets need clear questions, specific resolution criteria, and appropriate expiration dates. Some topics may be prohibited.
Usually 24–48 hours, but may vary depending on volume and complexity. You’ll be notified when your market is reviewed.
No, markets cannot be edited once approved. Make sure all information is correct before submitting. Contact support if critical changes are needed.
If a market is cancelled, all orders are refunded and no payouts are made. Your funds are returned to your account.

Payment Questions

Predicta supports Paystack (card & mobile money), cryptocurrency via NowPayments, SWIFT bank transfer, INMBank, and M-Pesa. Available methods may vary by region.

  • Cryptocurrency: A few minutes after blockchain confirmation
  • SWIFT: 1–5 business days
  • INMBank: Varies by method
Predicta does not charge deposit fees, but your payment provider may have their own fees. Check with your provider before depositing.
Usually 1–3 business days depending on the withdrawal method.
Some withdrawal methods may have fees, which are deducted from the withdrawal amount. Check the details when setting up your withdrawal method.
No, you can only withdraw available funds. Funds in suspense are reserved for open orders. Cancel orders to free them up.

Portfolio Questions

Go to the “Portfolios” page in the sidebar. You’ll see all markets where you have positions, with your holdings and current values. Click any row to expand and see position details.
Your portfolio shows profit/loss for each position. It’s calculated as: (Current Price × Shares) − (What You Paid). Positive = profit, negative = unrealised loss.
Yes — go to the “Trades” page to see all completed trades. The “Orders” page shows your full order history.
Sell all your shares in that market. Go to the market page or your portfolio, click “Sell”, enter the quantity, and confirm.

Technical Questions

Try refreshing the page, clearing your browser cache, or checking your internet connection. If issues persist, contact support.
Check that you’re using the correct email and password. Use the “Forgot Password” link if needed. Make sure your email is verified.
Try refreshing the page. Balance updates are real-time but may take a moment. Check Payment History if a recent deposit isn’t showing.
Check that you have sufficient available balance (not just total balance). Make sure the market is OPEN and accepting trades. Verify all fields are filled correctly.
